A former Elwood city official facing multiple charges waives her preliminary hearing.
Former deputy city clerk and municipal court clerk Leanna Bell was bound over to Doniphan County District Court this week on four felony counts.
Bell will be arraigned June 6th before District Judge John Weingart on charges of official misconduct, making false information, misuse of public funds and theft.
According to court documents, the alleged offenses took place between January 1st, 2009 and December 31st, 2010.
Bell was a city employee from April 1994 through December 2010.
Nemaha County Attorney Brad Lippert is serving as special prosecutor in the case.
