The Jackson County Commission has approved a cost share project with Rural Water District #3 for the installation of a new 4-inch water line to the south side of Banner Lake.
Representatives of the water district met with commissioners this week to discuss a new option for the installation of the water line, which is expected to be used for a bathhouse on the south side of the lake.
Under the new option, the waterline will run as a loop from 218th and O Roads, which will increase the pressure at the meter to 20 pounds per square inch.
The estimated cost for the new option is $22,000. The county will be responsible for 11-thousand dollars of the cost, which the commission approved.
The Rural Water District #3 Board previously approved the new option, contingent upon the commission’s approval.
