Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin the week of May 29 at the junction of N-8 and N-99, Reference Post 98.74 to 103.38, south of Burchard, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln, has the $1,637.403 contract to extend three box culverts, install new guardrail, do a lime slurry stabilization and three-inch bituminous overlay. Traffic on the 4.64-mile project will be controlled by one-lane work zones and flaggers where necessary.
Completion of the project is anticipated in September.
The Department of Roads’ project manager is Bill Jasa of Tecumseh. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through highway construction zones.
