The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1175 Lt. Jared Fox Jackson recently honored five Atchison area Girl Scouts who have earned the Gold Award.
 
Girl Scouting's highest award--it requires the girls to complete a lengthy service project.
 
Award winners are Courtney Blasi, Antonia Curry, Karis Dolenz, Stephanie Fitkin, Tamara House, and Rebecca Jones.

They are members of two local Senior troops under the direction of Peggy House and Kelly Franklin.
