A police call to an accident Sunday morning in Atchison leads to a chase and multiple felony charges for a 22-year-old man.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says the accident occurred in the 700 block of Harper Drive.
He then explains the events that led to the arrest of James Crawford.

Wilson says a second officer arrived at the scene and the investigation continued.

Wilson says the marijuana possession charge could be prosecuted with intent to sell, which would make it a felony.
He says since he allegedly ran from custody on a felony charge, the escape count is a felony.
Crawford remains in custody awaiting bond and formal charges.
