The Country Mart Education Fund, established nine years ago to benefit area schools, distributes $144,000 annually directly to local schools in the eighteen communities in which Country Mart operates supermarkets.
In the last ten years, the Country Mart group, comprising 18 supermarkets has invested more than $1.6 million in local schools and scholarships.
Dennis Garrett and his brother, Doug are part of the Country Mart owners’ group who contribute to the educational fund.
The fund is distributed twice during the school year based upon purchases made with participants’ Country Mart cards. Entry is easy, anyone can sign up their own Country Mart card on the web site www.mycountrymart.com
