City Commissioners Use iPads for Meeting

(KAIR) -- In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and be more efficient in government, Atchison City Commissioners are making a transition to iPads.

Three of the five Commissioners used the technology in Monday night’s meeting for the first time.

City Manager Trey Cocking says city staff started making the transition last winter.

Commissioner Jack Bower says he already saw the positives of having an iPad in front of him at the meeting.

Cocking says they join other city governments like Andover and Pittsburg in using the technology.
