07/20/2012

(KAIR) -- A 44-year-old Denver, Colorado man opts for a preliminary hearing on multiple drug charges Friday in Atchison County District Court.

Victor May will have the hearing on August 14th on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within a thousand feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.

He was arrested in late May by Atchison Police after a traffic stop near Trinity Lutheran School for an alleged seatbelt violation during the “Click it or Ticket” initiative.

During the stop, officers allegedly found a substance believed to be marijuana and items believed to be paraphernalia.

He is currently out on 20 thousand dollars bond.
