(KAIR) -- In a short meeting of the Atchison City Commissioners Tuesday afternoon, they unanimously overrode a recommendation by Kansas State Historic Preservation Office to not demolish a condemned home within the vicinity of the historic Hetherington House and Baker House.
Community Development Director Stefanie Leif says they were notified by the Preservation Office in March of their opposition.
