(KAIR) -- A report Monday night on ACT scores from USD 409 students shows figures similar to last year, but below the state average.
School Superintendent Susan Myers says the board discussed ideas on how they can improve moving forward.

The board also heard an update on a plan of action from HTK Architects and McCown Gordon, contingent on the passage of November’s bond election.

The board will be having public focus groups later this month in an effort to inform citizens on the bond issue.
The first one will be at Atchison Middle School the evening of October 8th at 6:30.
The second will be October 15th at 6:30 at Atchison High School and the third will be a call-in October 23rd with details to patch in still being finalized.
