(KAIR) -- A kick to the groin of a correctional officer gains a prison term for a 19-year-old Atchison man.
Casey Crawford was sentenced to 18 months Monday in Atchison County District Court.
He was booked in late August after being picked up for failure to appear on previous cases.
It was during booking when he kicked the officer, causing serious injury.
The charge, battery of a law enforcement officer, is a level five felony.
