Brown Co Conservation District Annual Meeting Set
( KNZA )-The Brown County Conservation District will be holding their Annual Meeting on Tuesday February 12th, and there will be a change this year—the meeting will take place during the day.
The meeting will be held at the Fisher Center in Hiawatha. The meal, which is being provided by Morrill and Janes Bank and Trust, will be served following the meeting will begin at about 11:00 that morning. Previously, the meeting had taken place in the evening.
The Board of Supervisors will present the 2012 annual report and treasurer’s report. There will be an election of one supervisor to serve a three year term. The term of current supervisor, Brad Reschke, is expiring.
The annual Banker Awards will also be presented. They will be presented to James & Jeanette Kocher, Mitch & Kim Nolte, JW & Sandy Reese and the Marcella Reschke Trust. The Buffer Award Winner is Steve & Andrea Jones. New this year, the Grasslands Award, will be awarded to Doug & Laura Fortmeyer.
There is no charge for the meal, but your asked to call Vicki at the Brown County Conservation District Office in Hiawatha by February 8 to make a reservation for the meal.
