(KAIR) -- A 25-year-old Atchison man will head to prison on two burglary counts.
Tremell Bratton was sentenced Monday in Atchison County District Court to a total of 39 months.
This came after a mental evaluation that was granted in late January came back saying he was fit to stand trial.
He was arrested December 6th for breaking into a home in the 12 hundred block of South 2nd Street but fleeing after the residents discovered him.
This led to Atchison Police eventually sweeping the surrounding area for two hours on the hunt for Bratton.
He was later discovered hiding in a vacant neighboring house that he broke into.
