(KAIR) -- The cool weather didn’t deter hundreds of people from attending the 30th annual Atchison St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday.

Karen Bell served as Grand Marshal and led the parade of at least 60 entries.

Several entries put their creativity to the test for the awards at the end of the parade.

Here’s Master of Ceremonies, Paul Komarek.

Another part of the festivities included Irish music from locals sporting kilts at the Atchison Elk’s Club.

Also at the Elk’s Club was traditional Irish food for the holiday: corned beef and cabbage.

It was done with lengthy preparation by “Boston” Bob Cobleigh.

Boston Bob prepares three cookers for the event and says the Elk’s have sold out of the specialty dish in recent years and usually dish 300 to 400 bowls a year.
