The Falls City FFA Chapter attended the 85th annual Nebraska State Convention with 17 students. The convention was held April 3rd- 5th in Lincoln.
On Wednesday night the Junior Parliamentary Procedure team, consisting of Jack Hartman, Jordan Stoller, Derik Eickhoff, Lee Huettner, Lucas Kirkendall, Megan Vollmer, and Jerrica Beckner, competed at state to kick off the convention.
On Thursday morning the Livestock Judging team competed. The qualifying team members were Derik Eickhoff, Jordan Stoller, Lee Huettner, and Lucas Kirkendall. In the afternoon, the Ag Sales team of Elizabeth Eickhoff, Cord Huettner, Cody Schawang, and Levi Hitchcock competed on East Campus.
Thursday evening the Proficiency Award Ceremony took place in which, junior, Cody Schawang received the first place plaque in the Electrical Technology area.
Friday morning the Welding team of Carl Arnold, Levi Hitchcock, and Justin Doerr competed. Along with the Welding team, the Natural Resource team competed. The team consisted of Amie Wiltse, Justin Ernst, and Emily Wilhide.
The chapter took the afternoon to have fun and play laser tag. Friday evening was the final session of the convention. Seniors Elizabeth Eickhoff and Amie Wiltse were awarded their State Degrees during this session. In the students spare time they attended various leadership sessions.
