(KAIR) -- Broken glass, a pool of blood and a juvenile arrest.

That was the scene during Wednesday’s session of Atchison Municipal Court.

That’s Police Chief Mike Wilson.

He says the juvenile now faces charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

The juvenile was treated at the scene and later went to the Atchison Hospital for stitches.

The girl’s mother was found guilty in a bench trial for a cruelty to animals’ citation.

Court officials say the girl began her expression of anger when Judge Pat Henderson read the sentencing condition that the dog in question in the case would remain in the custody of the city.

City Manager Trey Cocking says it will cost roughly 200 dollars to replace the glass and that it was the original glass with the door, but will not seek to locate a similar glass replacement to the historic building.
