(KTNC) - Falls City Sacred Heart School has started a drive to raise funds for a new activity center at the school. Sacred Heart Superintendent, Monsignor Robert Roh, announced the kick-off for the fundraising effort in a presentation during Friday’s basketball games at Prichard Auditorium.
The school will be sending out letters and pledge cards in the next few days. The drive is off to a good start, as Monsignor Roh announced a couple donations they’ve already received.
The first donation came from Erison and Easton Vonderschmidt, who gave money they received for their birthdays. Another, larger, donation came recently when Amalia Morehead donated $200,000 for the project.
Roh says all donations, large and small, are welcome.
Plans for the Sacred Heart Activity Center include a gymnasium, kitchen, commons area, locker rooms, a weight room, and storage. It would be attached adjacent to the northeast of the existing school building.
