(KLZA) -- Pawnee County Commissioners approved a resolution setting salaries for the 2015-2018 term of office for elected county officials when they met Tuesday.
The annual salary for the Pawnee County Sheriff will be $41,200 in 2015 and increase $1,000 annually during the term. In 2018 the salary will be $43,200.
The annual salary for the County Treasurer, County Clerk, County Assessor and County Attorney in 2015 will be $37,000 with an annual $1,000 increase topping out at $40,000 in 2018.
The County Commissioners salary will be $18,500 for 2015 with a $500 annual increase in pay. In 2018 the Commissioners salary will be $20,000.
If the Commissioners designate a qualified elected county official to serve as the budget-making authority, that person will received up to $1,600 for the year 2015 with an annual increase of $100. In addition, the County Clerk will be paid an additional $500 per year for General Assistance.
In other business during the Tuesday meeting Commissioners discussed insurance for county employees. The Board would like the employees to contact the Board and let them know what policy would be best for them before final action is taken.
