(KLZA) -- The Nebraska Liquor Control Commission has notified the City of Falls City that a hearing scheduled for Thursday, April 17th on the SunMart application for a Class ID liquor license has been dismissed. The hearing was dismissed due to the company’s withdrawl of the application.
Hinky Dinky Supermarkets Inc., owner of the SunMart grocery store in Falls City had applied for a liquor license to be able to sell wine, spirits and beer in their Falls City store. Falls City Council members voted 5-3 against giving favorable comment to the license application in March.
The State Liquor Commission told MSC News several protests had been filed against granting the license by Falls City residents.
