Doniphan County’s zoning regulations and land use codes will be updated.
The Doniphan County Commission voted Monday to enter into an agreement with Scott Michie Planning Services of Kansas City, Missouri to update the zoning regulations which have been in place since 1965.
The project will be done in conjunction with the cities of Elwood, Highland and Wathena.
Doniphan County will be responsible for $22,400 of the project cost.
In other business, County Emergency Management Coordinator Julie Meng informed commissioners the county has received more than $89,000 from FEMA for costs associated with the 2011 flood. $680 of that amount will go to the city of Elwood.
