After three seasons at the University of Kansas and an All-American year this season, Kansas junior forward, Thomas Robinson will forego his senior year of eligibly and enter the NBA draft. Robinson, who averaged a double-double this season, 17.7 ppg and 11.9 rpg is a projected consensus Top-10 lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft. He took over the scoring load this year along with senior guard, Tyshawn Taylor, helping the Jayhawks take home their eighth straight Big 12 regular season title and make it all the way to the national title game, where they fell to Kentucky. Robinson earned unanimous All-American honors this season, becoming the first Jayhawk on the All-American first team since 2005 in Wayne Simien. Also, finished second in multiple races for Player of the Year awards this season, falling short to Kentucky's, Anthony Davis. In three years at Kansas, Robinson has enjoyed an increase role each year and developed his game but also experience personal heartbreak in his life. Robinson, in a span of weeks lost his grandparents and his mother his sophomore year at Kansas, leaving himself and his sister Jayla. Robinson now will have the opportunity to make the move to the NBA and make millions to help support his sister Jayla. He leaves Kansas as the ninth player in the last six years to declare early for the NBA draft.
