The city of Atchison will be expected to meet new water requirements in the next few years by the Environmental Protection Agency.
City Manager Trey Cocking says the agency wants the community to monitor several new contaminants.

In their regular meeting this afternoon, city commissioners will look to award the south headworks pipe repair and manhole rehabilitation bid to Utility Solutions for an amount not to exceed 106 thousand 400 dollars.
The meeting will take place at 4:30 at city hall.
