( KMZA )-- An improvement project is planned at a Seneca park.
The City Council voted Wednesday evening to move forward with the construction of restroom facilities at Skoch Park on Community Drive.
City Superintendent Brian Ruske said the cost to build the facilities will be $17,477.
He said that Luckeroth Masonry of Seneca will build the concrete block walls of the 14 by 20 foot building and the city employees will do the rest of the work.
In other business, the council approved sending out a request for qualifications for architectural services for the construction of an addition to the city maintenance shop on 11th Street.
The north side of the shop will be torn down to make room for the project to extend Branch Street from 11th Street to Community drive.
The council plans to construct an addition on the south side of the shop to make up for the loss of space on the north side.
