Ag producers are invited to attend a free workshop scheduled for September 20th. The “Farming for Profitability” workshop will be held at the Horton Blue Building located at 716 1st Ave. West in Horton, KS. The program begins at 5:30 pm and includes a free meal. Individuals interested in attending the workshop are encouraged to register by calling 785-284-3422.
Topics covered at the workshop include growing cover crops to improve soil health and enhance your bottom line; managing soil fertility to maximize farm profits; tips for crop and livestock producers on dealing with drought conditions; and new cost share programs to implement conservation measures on ag land.
