(KAIR)--Jury selection had just begun when a 22-year-old Atchison man avoids trial by entering a plea.
It happened Tuesday, in Atchison County District Court, when James Crawford pled guilty to two felony charges, no drug tax stamp and aggravated escape from custody as well as two misdemeanors, possession of marijuana and interference with a law enforcement officer.
Sentencing for Crawford is set for the afternoon of October 15th at 1:00.
He was arrested in early June after fleeing from Atchison Police officers on two occasions in connection with a traffic crash investigation.
