Rural Atchison Man Pleads Guilty in Armed Burglary
12/14/2012

(KAIR) -- A rural Atchison man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with an armed burglary at a county residence in August.

Reagan Kinzer entered the plea Friday to charges of burglary, theft and possession of marijuana in Atchison County District Court.

As part of a plea deal, charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

Authorities says his brother, Stephen, broke into the Tony Baker residence at 9249 Ottawa Road in late August.

When Baker returned home he was confronted at gunpoint and told to get on the ground.  Kinzer fled the scene when Baker complied.

Prosecutors say Reagan was waiting  nearby with a getaway car.

Stephen was sentenced last week to 169 months in prison on charges.

Sentencing for Reagan Kinzer is set for January 18th. He is currently free on bond.
