(KAIR) -- An Atchison County civil trial where an area rock quarry is being sued for millions of dollars has been continued.
A bench trial that has property owners Willis Armstrong and Stephanie Prohaska suing Bromley Quarry began last week for two days in Atchison County District Court.
Armstrong and Prohaska allege that the quarry trespassed and mined on their neighboring property near Sedgwick Road north of Atchison from 1992 until March 26, 2011 without their permission.
The lawsuit was filed in May 2011.
They also allege that mining on their property generated 855 thousand 500 tons of rock.
They are seeking the value of the rock attained, eight point-five-five-five million dollars, plus damages, which the plaintiffs estimate would make the total at 10 million dollars.
Testimony will continue January 15th.
