(KAIR) -- A third Atchison drug sweep suspect has pled not guilty to charges.
Earnest Crawford entered the plea Monday in Atchison County District Court to a a charge of possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute.
He joins Michael Scott and Kyle Ferris in pleading not guilty to charges in the case.
Crawford’s jury trial is set for March 5th.
Scott and Ferris’ trials are March 5th and February 12th, respectively.
County Attorney Gerald Kuckelman says the remaining suspects are now in the preliminary hearing stage of court, with a majority of them scheduled for February 5th and 7th.
Twenty suspects were arrested by Atchison Police last month following a covert drug investigation that began at the end of September.
Most of the charges allege the distribution or sale of narcotics or controlled pharmaceuticals.
