( KNZA )-A Hiawatha woman has been sentenced on drug-related charges.
Malinda Pattengall was given a suspended prison sentence Monday in Brown County District Court on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijauna and disorderly conduct. Pattengall was then placed on 18 months probation.
She pleaded no contest to the charges in November. In exchange for the plea, two additional charges were dismissed.
The arraignment for a co-defendant in the case, William Thomas of Hiawatha, was postponed Monday to February 25th.
The pair were arrested in June of last year by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department following the execution of a search warrant on a residence located at 507 Delaware Street. Deputies obtained the search warrant after responding to a domestic call at the residence.
