(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Development Corporation was involved in two projects in the last year.
Suzanne Borcher and John DeFreece, with the Citizen Advisory Board, presented the annual P-C-D-C audit report to the city council Monday night.
They said in the past year, the P-C-D-C provided $15,000 in seed money for the Assisted Living facility and just over $900 for storefront enhancements.
Borcher said they felt the organization’s spending followed all guidelines and auditors saw no discrepancies. The city council accepted the report after it was presented.
The Pawnee City Council also reviewed the Library’s annual statistical report.
The report indicates the Pawnee City Public Library has 839 registered patrons, including 366 non-city residents. The Library added nearly 1500 items last year and removed 227 from circulation. Nearly 16,000 items were checked out of the Pawnee City Library last year.
The report also shows that volunteers put in more than 500 hours helping with various programs, including story time, the summer reading program, instructing computer classes, shelving books, making home deliveries, and other special projects.
