(KAIR) -- The KanCare program will be hosting educational meetings for members in late February.
This educational tour will take place in 16 cities across Kansas from February 18th-21st.
Locally, representatives will visit Atchison on February 21st.
This is the first educational tour since KanCare launched on January 1st.
While previous tours focused on what Medicaid consumers would need to know about KanCare starting in 2013, the upcoming round of meetings will be dedicated to helping members with questions they have regarding the ongoing transition, including the 90-day choice period for health plan coverage.
In addition to these meetings for consumers, a separate educational tour is being scheduled for KanCare service providers.
The provider meetings will also take place in February, with details announced soon.
