Names Released in Atchison Co Stolen Truck Case

(KAIR) -- The names of two suspects apprehended last week, believed to be involved with the theft of a stolen truck in rural Lancaster last month, have been released.

According to the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Justin Berry of Olathe and 19-year-old Brandon Helm of LeCompton, are being held in Douglas County Jail in connection to the theft of 2001 Dodge Ram.

The duo also face charges in Douglas County.

Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie says the Kansas Highway Patrol apprehended the suspects after separate vehicle chases in Douglas and Johnson County last week.

After search warrants were executed and evidence discovered by Investigators, the truck was later found near Overland Park.
