(KAIR) -- Civil rights, religion and education will take center stage during a panel discussion on social change set for Wednesday evening at seven in O’Malley-McAllister Auditorium on the Benedictine College campus in Atchison.
It is being held in conjunction with the college’s annual Social Justice Week, which is now in its 25th year.
The panel will include Jesse Greenly, president of the Atchison Boys & Girls Club and retired Director of Training and Staff Development for the Atchison Juvenile Correctional Facility, Pastor Michael Kelley, Sr., a licensed social worker and pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, and Dr. Eugene Tesdahl, visiting Assistant Professor of History at Benedictine College.
The group will give a presentation titled “50 Years of Change: A Reflection on Civil, Educational and Religious Achievement in America and Atchison.”
Rick Coronado, Professor of Economics, says Benedictine’s Social Justice Week gives student groups related to social issues a chance to gain a focus on campus and in the community.
