New Atchison High Show Choir Making Splash

(KAIR) -- A new organization within Atchison High School is making waves in its first year of existence, by singing.

That’s Samuel Dollins, Vocal Music teacher at the school.

The choir, known as “Adrenaline,” consists of 32 singers and four band members and is only one of 10 school affiliated show choirs in the state.

Dollins, a second year teacher, says he wanted to bring a new concept to Atchison.

He says the choir has given mostly positive feedback to the experience.

The show choir has finished their competitions this year and is now making preparations for the state contest April 18th at the First Presbyterian Church in Atchison.

They will also hold a special show on May 11th at the Atchison Middle School.
