(KAIR) -- A 20-year-old Atchison man has pled guilty to a vehicular burglary charge.
Matthew Schultz made the plea as part of a plea deal Monday in Atchison County District Court.
In exchange, a count of misdemeanor theft was dismissed.
He was arrested by Atchison Police for breaking into a truck in the 300 block of north 7th Street in late March.
Schultz was initially chased, caught and detained by college students, who observed the burglary in progress.
Sentencing is set for June 10th.
