(KAIR) -- As part of a bond issue approved by voters in April, the Jefferson County North High School will have iPads in their classroom this fall.
It's part of 200 thousand dollars in technology upgrades approved by the USD 339 school board approved Monday night.
145 iPads will be ordered, costing about 87 thousand dollars.
Superintendent Denise Jennings says students will be able to take the iPads home with them and that training sessions with staff are underway and will continue this fall with parents and students once the students get issued one.
The board also resumed discussions on general renovations for the school buildings, which is the other part of the bond.
Jennings says HTK Architects are still finalizing plans for construction on the project.
The board on Monday night also hired Jolene Shove as a new middle school math teacher.
