(KLZA) A Steinauer, Nebraska woman is facing a federal drug charge.
The U.S. Attorney’s office in Nebraska says an indictment was unsealed Tuesday charging 38-year-old Angie Ray Shera with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine between January 2011 and February of this year.
Shera appeared in federal court in Lincoln Wednesday, and was ordered held without bond. A trial is scheduled to begin on September 10th of this year.
If convicted, Shera faces a possible penalty of ten years to life in prison and a fine up to 10 million dollars. Following any prison term, there would be a term of supervised release of not less than five years
The matter was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which includes officers of the Lincoln Police Department, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department, and by the Nebraska State Patrol.
