(KTNC) - Several ordinances and resolutions are up for approval when Mound City aldermen hold their regular August meeting at 5:30 Tuesday evening.
The council will hold a public hearing on the 2013 tax levy, and will consider approving the tax levy later in the meeting.
The council will consider amending three sections of the city code, pertaining to alcoholic beverage licenses and fees; fireworks; and changing the title to firearms and explosives.
Aldermen will consider awarding contracts for tree trimming along city streets and for the 2013 street sealing project.
New business includes opening bids for repairing the sidewalk at City Hall, and discussing voluntary annexation petitions.
In the old business portion of the meeting, the council will discuss a Tax Increment Financing plan.
