Pawnee City School

(KTNC) - The Pawnee City School Board set the date for the Budget Hearing and Levy Setting Hearing during a fairly short meeting Monday night.
Both hearings will be held on Wednesday, August 28, with the budget hearing beginning at 7:00 p.m. and the levy hearing at 7:05.  A special meeting to approve the budget and levy will follow the public hearings at 7:10 that evening.
In other action, the board approved the purchase of a dozen new I-Pads at a cost of $4,878.  Ten of the I-Pads are for the elementary school and two are for high school special education.
And the Pawnee City School Board accepted, with regret, the resignation of board member Josh Glynn.  He is moving out of the district.  Superintendent Stephen Grizzle says they will notify the County Clerk of the vacancy, and the board will decide in September how to proceed with filling the position.
