Mound City Woman in Crash on Snow-Covered Road

(KTNC) -- A Mound City woman was injured in a crash on a snow-covered county road Thursday afternoon.
 The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 30-year-old Tequitha Griffin was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer that skidded out of control on Holt County Road 223, left the roadway and struck a tree.
 Griffin was taken by ambulance to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with serious injuries. Griffin’s son, Daniel Griffin, was a passenger in the vehicle and was not injured.
 The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. Thursday on County Road 223, five miles south of Mound City.
