In a key match-up in Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) play, the Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat baseball team gained a split with the HAAC's second-place team.
In action on Tuesday, the Bobcats dropped the first game 2-1 before capturing the nightcap 8-5 over the visiting Evangel University Crusaders.
With the split, PSC improves to 21-13 overall and 6-8 in the HAAC, tying them with Central Methodist for seventh in the conference race. Evangel moves to 11-5 in the HAAC, still in second place, and is now 22-15 overall.
