The Falls City seniors won a pair of games Saturday in American Legion baseball at Dallas Jones Park.
In the first game Saturday afternoon, Falls City shutout Nehawka 5-0 behind a complete game four-hitter by starting pitcher Logan Faller.
Falls City scored what would be the winning run with two outs in the third inning, when Brandt Vice singled and came around to score on a double by Chaz Dunn. Falls City added two runs in the 4th and two more runs in the 5th inning. Vice had two hits and scored two runs to lead the offense.
Falls City picked up another win Saturday evening, defeating Plattsmouth 3-2. Falls City scored single runs in the first, second, and third innings, while Plattsmouth scored runs in the fourth and seventh inning. Chaz Dunn scored two of Falls City’s three runs, while Lane Scheitel pitched a complete game to earn the victory.
Falls City was scheduled to play at Teckmeyer Financial Sunday evening.
