(KAIR) -- The Easton City Council Monday night authorized the submission of a grant application to USDA Rural Development in an effort to get additional funding for a new water treatment plant and water lines.
City Clerk Jere Chieppo says they hope to get assistance in addition to the revenue generated after the City Council voted to raise water rates last fall for the over one million dollar project. (Play Audio)
Chieppo says they will learn on potential grant awards in April.
