Meriden Man Facing Charges in Home Invasion

(KAIR) -- A 30-year-old Meriden man is in custody on charges stemming from an alleged home invasion Saturday at a Meriden residence.

Jefferson County Attorney Jason Belveal says James Stewart II was booked Monday afternoon into the Jefferson County Jail on ten counts..(Play Audio)  

Stewart faces one count of aggravated robbery, one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated intimidation of a witness, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of criminal threat and one count of misdemeanor theft.

A 50 thousand dollar cash only bond has been set and Stewart is scheduled to appear in a Jefferson County courtroom Tuesday afternoon.
