Auburn Holds Invitational Track Meet Friday

 Auburn hosted its invitational track meet Friday. 
 Lincoln Pius X dominated the final team and individual standings.
 In the girls’ portion of the meet, Pius X totaled 228 points for first place.  Auburn was second with 136 points, with Raymond Central 3rd, and Falls City 4th with 50-and-a-half points.
 Individually, Auburn’s Tierra Williams won both the long jump and 200-meter dash.  The Bulldogs’ Julie Slama won the triple jump, Catherine Davison won both the 800 and 1600-meter runs, and Auburn won the 3200-meter relay.
 Falls City got one first place finish, with Hailey Baxter winning the shot put.  Allyson Scholl was second in the triple jump and Krystal Samqua was second in the pole vault.  Auburn got second place finishes from Macayla Warneke in the discus, Taylor Petersen in the high jump, and Maggie Rieschick in the 300-meter hurdles.
 Pius X ran away with the boys’ team championship with 279 points.  Falls City was second with 93-and-a-half points, Raymond Central was third, and Auburn finished fourth with 45-and-a-half points.
 Falls City had one individual first place finish, with Morgen Valentine winning the pole vault.
 Second place finishes went to Cord Huettner in the shot put, Zach Jordening in the high jump, and Lee Huettner in the triple jump.
 Auburn’s best finish was a third place showing by Donavan Halfhill in the discus.
