(KAIR) -- Discussion for and against a request to pave a portion of an Atchison County road dominated Monday’s County Commissioner meeting.
The road in question is Rooks Road near Potter, where an area landowner recently made a request to have four-tenths of a mile chip and sealed.
Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen said both sides carried valid points in the civil discussion.

Bodenhausen says they are still looking into priority for the request and it could be one to two years before the request could be funded for approval.
Commissioners will not be in session Wednesday as they will be attending the Kansas County Commission Association annual conference in Wichita.
