(KTNC) - The Falls City Aquatic Center’s fourth annual Sprint Triathlon is set for Saturday, July 27th. The Falls City, City Council, approved the use of city streets and parks for the event this week.
The race begins at the Aquatic Center at 8:00 a.m. that day. The triathlon is open to individuals and relay teams of three, age 15 and older and of all fitness levels.
This will be the second year for a youth triathlon for individuals age 7 to 14, that will be held following the adult triathlon.
Both events start and end at the Falls City Aquatic Center. The adult triathlon includes a 300-meter swim, a 15-kilometer bike, and a 5-kilometer run. Participants in the youth event will swim 150-meters, bike two miles, and run one mile.
The swimming portion of the event will take place in the Falls City pool and the bicycle and running routes will follow the same course as last year’s triathlon.
