(KAIR) -- A 42-year-old Jefferson County woman is in jail, following her arrest in connection with what authorities are calling an attempted contract killing.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig says a fast moving investigation led to the arrest of Rebecca Burch who was allegedly wanting her ex-boyfriend killed.
Herrig says Burch was taken into custody Friday evening on a felony charge of solicitatation of first degree murder.
This comes after an officer from another agency posed as a potential contract killer and Burch then revealed her believed intentions to the officer.
Herrig says a motive behind the alleged contracting attempt is currently unclear.
