(KAIR) -- The public is invited to an open-house style meeting next Tuesday afternoon with Missouri Department of Transportation staff on the potential construction of a new bridge south of Saint Joseph on U.S. 59.
The public meeting will be held at the New Home Baptist Church at 10151 SW Bluff Rd. in St. Joseph from 4:30 to 6:30.
The bridge in question is the Banker’s Crossing Bridge, which has been known for its narrow width and tight space when meeting other vehicles on the bridge.
On The Move will also be a part of the meeting.
On The Move is MoDOT's public engagement portion of updating its long-range transportation plan.
Members of the public are asked to provide their feedback to determine priorities for the transportation system into the future for Buchanan County and the state of Missouri.
For those who cannot make the meeting, your input can be provided at http://www.missourionthemove.org/ or at www.modot.org/northwest.
