(KTNC) - Fairbury rolled to a championship in the Falls City Softball Tournament, held Saturday at the Auburn Rec Complex.
Fairbury defeated Conestoga, 8-2, in the championship game. The Jeffs also picked up two shutouts, 14-0 over Wilber-Clatonia in the first round and 8-0 over Falls City in the semifinals.
Falls City took third place, defeating Cass County Central 7-3 in the third place game. The Tigers’ beat Syracuse 5-4 in the first round.
Wymore won the 5th place game, 5-1, over Syracuse. Wiber-Clatonia outscored Auburn, 12-11, in the 7th place game.
Auburn went 0-3 in the tournament, also dropping an 11-8 final to Conestoga and a 19-5 final to Southern.
Syracuse was 1-2 in the tournament, with a 9-4 win over Wilber-Clatonia.
